How To Fish the Rapala Glidin' Rap;
Let the Rapala sink to desired depth. Point the rod toward the lure and keep the rod tip down close to the water. Start the action with a crisp rod twitch. Let a little slack to form in the line to allow the lure glide and slide to the side. Reel in the slack line, point the rod back toward the lure and twitch again to make the lure glide to the other side. Repeat. When a deeper presentation is called for, let your Glidin’ Rap sink and then use a slow cadence twitching retrieve allowing the lure to glide longer. Stop the retrieve every now and then to let the flutter down before continuing the presentation. For a fast and shallow presentation, start the retrieve right when the lure lands. Use fast-paced, short rod twitches and a moderate, steady retrieve to give the lure a fast, erratic side to side twitching action. If a subtle presentation is needed, point the rod towards the lure and use a sharp stop-and-go retrieve (one crank of the handle per go) to give the Glidin’ Rap a soft side to side glide.
